The world is filled with experts. Most have a proven track record of success. Many are known for their innovative approaches. Some have attracted other experts to create one-of-a-kind high growth enterprises. A select few have earned national recognition for pioneering “game changing” models of business excellence. Fewer still know how to teach these methods, principles and best practices to others.
Tony has done all of these things and now shares his ideas, experience and passion with other leaders.
Here are some frequently asked questions that may help you decide if Tony would be a good choice to help you or your business:
Things are tough in this economy and money is tight. How much does Tony charge to coach/mentor business owners or work with our people?
Tony has been a business owner himself for over 30 years and understands the importance of getting a “big bang” ROE for every buck we invest in outside help. His support and advice is priced based on the time and complexity of each assignment. Tony is committed to helping every client leverage his value many times over. He will be happy to visit with you, discuss the issues you are dealing with and provide a turnkey price that is tailored to your needs.
How do I know that Tony can actually help our company?
You don’t – and neither does he until the two of you discuss the details of what you wish to accomplish, your resources, competitive environment and timeframe. Tony only works with companies that he knows he can help. If not, he has an extensive network of recognized experts that he will help connect you to until you find the right “fit” for your business. There is no such thing as one-size-fits all expert. Everything shared with Tony in these initial meetings is treated with strict confidentiality.
Who can recommend Tony’s work?
The testimonial section of this website contains references given by many of Tony’s recent clients. These leaders represent a variety of industries and attest to the quality of Tonys’ work, the practical nature of his advice, his character and contributions to their business and personal lives.
What kind of successes does Tony have with his own companies?
As Tony himself will tell you, he has had the privilege of being mentored by some of America’s top entrepreneurial minds. His own companies have won multiple awards for their services, innovations, employee cultures and contributions to the communities they served.
Is Tony an experienced leader?
In 1995, when the city of Fort Worth had lost 50,000 jobs due to base closings and a tremendous economic downturn, Tony was the Mayor’s choice as the founding Executive Director of the Fort Worth Business Assistance Center (see Achievements Section for details). Years later, when the Kauffman Foundation (with $3 billion in endowments) was looking for experts to help oversee $100 million in annual investments to grow America’s small business infrastructure, Tony was one of four people chosen to become an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. In his own companies, he has been at the cutting edge of both technological innovation and organizational leadership. His companies have helped usher in the One-Hour-Photo business, reinvent safety standards for America’s trucks and trains, and re-energize entrepreneurship around the country. In short, if it’s new, difficult, and maybe one of a kind; its Tony’s kind of challenge.
What is Tony’s leadership philosophy?
Tony believes in “leading from the front” and “taking care of our people first”. He knows from experience that our own individual talents, drives and resources can only take us so far. To reach our full potential as leaders we have to invest heavily in interacting with and listening to our employees, customers and vendors. Helping leaders learn to hear the subtle but critical messages these groups are sending plays a key role in how Tony supports their growth. Tony uses the successes and failures that he and his network of subject experts have experienced to teach valuable leadership principles to his clients and their people.
